User Datagram Protocol (UDP)
User Datagram Protocol (UDP) is a transport layer protocol used for communication over the Internet. It is a connectionless protocol, which means that it does not establish a dedicated end-to-end connection before transmitting data. Instead, UDP sends data packets, called datagrams, directly to the recipient without any prior communication. UDP is often used for applications that require fast, low-latency communication, such as online gaming, video streaming, and VoIP. However, because UDP does not provide error checking or flow control, it is less reliable than Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), which is another transport layer protocol used for communication over the Internet.
